More than 20 original wood and stone sculptures were acquired direct from the sculptor’s family bu @igmarsuer and @pschantiques .
Simplifying the features in the extreme, Roland LAVIANNE develops a powerful play on volumes, shapes and lines, using the light as a key construction material. Roland LAVIANNE conveying a real mastery of the balance of volumes and lines of force. The figures, immobile but dynamic, seems lost in a theatrical conversation suspended for ever.
