In 1951, the precursors of the kinetic movement, such as Rafael Soto , Julio Le Parc , Pol Bury or Jean Tinguely, began to introduce movement or mobility into the painting. Their research led in 1956 to a first kinetic art exhibition "Le Mouvement" at the Denise René Gallery.
The works of this time, like our painting «reliëf», transforms herself thanks to moving elements powered by a small motor.
