Extraordinary large terracotta vase
(95cm height) from Italian sculptor and ceramist Mario Porcu (1917-2001)
with decors of stylized dancing women, and neo-antique friezes engraved and painted on the earth . In the 1950s, Mario Porcu set up his studio in the small town of Albissola Marina in Liguria, a centre of ceramic art creations, where Porcy meets Asper Jorn, Marinetti and Fontana.
Albissola Marina is the equivalent of Vallauris in the South of France.
Around 1955.. In perfect condition.
